Years in the YDK lab:

Research Assistant (2001-2019).

Current position:
Scientific counselor, RAMQ

I started my student life as a Lab medical technician in Sherbrooke.  Then I moved to Trois-Rivères to do a bachelor degree in Medical Biology at Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (UQTR) where I discovered the medical research community.   In 1999, I started a Master degree in Neurosciences at Université Laval in Quebec City with Dr. Claude Gravel.   My research project focused on the therapeutic approach using viral vectors to delay the degeneration of photoreceptors in the retina in a mouse model of retinitis pigmentosa.

I am part of Dr. Yves De Koninck’s lab since he moved to Quebec City in 2001 at CRIUSMQ.  As a Research Assistant, most of my work is to do rodent chronic pain model, behavior tests, immunohistochemistry and management of mice lines.
